California Wide Load Permit
The heavy-duty vehicles and loads involved in commercial trucking services are essentially required to, under the Act 300 of Michigan Vehicle Code (MVC) of Public Acts of 1949, act out their business as per the limits as established by this Act. The vehicles and loads that can not be reduced in their size and can not be transported other than by road are needed to obtain permits from the reigon’s local Department of Transportation (DOT). All transportation permits should be obtained from State Transport Authorities by any individual or organization involved in commercial trucking services if they transport loads beyond normal legal limits. You can get more relevant information about the legally-permitted sizes of vehicles and varieties of transportation permits readily available from your local department of transportation.
Temporary operation permits have been given out since 1992. If a business only needs a permit to operate over a designated time period, Temporary Testing, Demonstration, and Temporary Operation Permits may be required. You can secure them from all the outlets of Auto plan and any government inspection stations (weigh scales). You are enabled to perform general transportation tasks for anywhere from 1 day to two weeks through this permit, but there are certain regulations to use this permit for commercial activities.
