South Carolina Truck Permit
The heavy-duty vehicles and loads associateded with commercial trucking services are basically required to, under the Act 300 of Michigan Vehicle Code (MVC) of Public Acts of 1949, perform their business as per the constraints as established by this Act. The vehicles and loads that can not be minimized in their size and can not be transported other than by road are needed to obtain permits from the reigon’s local Department of Transportation (DOT). All transportation permits ought to be obtained from State Transport Authorities by any individual or organization involved in commercial trucking services if they transport loads over normal legal limits. You can get more details about the legally-permitted sizes of vehicles and types of transportation permits readily available from your local department of transportation.
Temporary operation permits have been provided since 1992. If a business only needs a permit to operate over a designated period of time, Temporary Testing, Demonstration, and Temporary Operation Permits may be required. You can acquire them from all the outlets of Auto plan and any government inspection stations (weigh scales). You are permitted to perform general transportation ventures for anywhere from 1 day to two weeks using this permit, but there are certain limitations to use this permit for commercial activities.

Oversize permits are also assigned on the basis of axle size of the truck, as there are certain limitations on the load-per-axle to assess the need of this transportation permit. A load that surpasses the limit per-axle is considered as over-weighted or oversized, as opposed to considering the overall weight of the load. Suppose your commercial vehicle transports construction machinery, pre-built homes, construction materials, or containers. It’s weight caps are then relied on weight limits per-axle to be eligible for this permit.
