The heavy-duty vehicles and loads associateded with commercial trucking services are generally required to, under the Act 300 of Michigan Vehicle Code (MVC) of Public Acts of 1949, perform their business as per the restrictions as established by this Act. The vehicles and loads that can not be lowered in their size and can not be transported other than by road are demanded to obtain permits from the reigon’s local Department of Transportation (DOT). All transportation permits will need to be obtained from State Transport Authorities by any individual or organization associateded with commercial trucking services if they transport loads over normal legal limits. You can get more details about the legally-permitted sizes of vehicles and forms of transportation permits readily available from your local department of transportation.

Temporary operation permits have been released since 1992. If a business only needs a permit to operate over a designated period of time, Temporary Testing, Demonstration, and Temporary Operation Permits may be required. You can attain them from all the outlets of Auto plan and any government inspection stations (weigh scales). You are enabled to perform general transportation tasks for anywhere from 1 day to two weeks through this permit, but there are certain limitations to use this permit for commercial activities.

Suppose your commercial vehicle transports construction machinery, pre-built homes, construction materials, or containers. It’s weight limitations are then depended weight limits per-axle to become eligible for this permit.
