Fuel Permit Services
The heavy-duty vehicles and loads connecteded with commercial trucking services are generally required to, under the Act 300 of Michigan Vehicle Code (MVC) of Public Acts of 1949, produce their business as per the restrictions as established by this Act. The vehicles and loads that can not be decreased in their size and can not be transported other than by road are required to obtain permits from the reigon’s local Department of Transportation (DOT). All transportation permits should be obtained from State Transport Authorities by any individual or organization associateded with commercial trucking services if they transport loads more than normal legal limits. You can get more related information about the legally-permitted sizes of vehicles and varieties of transportation permits attainable from your local department of transportation.
Temporary operation permits have been given out since 1992. If a business only needs a permit to operate over a designated time period, Temporary Testing, Demonstration, and Temporary Operation Permits may be required. You can get them from all the outlets of Auto plan and any government inspection stations (weigh scales). You are enabled to perform general transportation ventures for anywhere from 1 day to two weeks with this permit, but there are certain regulations to use this permit for commercial activities.

Vehicles and trucks that are delivering loads of excessive size or weight above legal limits and are busy in operating transportation ventures on public highways are obligated to obtain oversize permits when their loads that can not be minimized in size. These permits can be obtained upon written inquiry from the Commercial Transport section of Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement Branch. Oversize permits are provided not only for the vehicles or loads that are 4.4 meters wide, but for wider vehicles also. Oversize permits are also assigned on the basis of axle size of the car, as there are certain restrictions on the load-per-axle to assess the need concerning this transportation permit. A load that goes beyond the limit per-axle is considered as being over-weighted or oversized, instead of considering the overall weight of the load. Suppose your commercial vehicle transports construction machinery, pre-built homes, construction materials, or containers. It’s weight limits are then relied on weight limits per-axle to become eligible for this permit.
