Indiana Transportation Permit
The heavy-duty vehicles and loads associateded with commercial trucking services are essentially required to, under the Act 300 of Michigan Vehicle Code (MVC) of Public Acts of 1949, produce their business as per the restrictions as established by this Act. The vehicles and loads that can not be lowered in their size and can not be transported other than by road are needed to obtain permits from the reigon’s local Department of Transportation (DOT). All transportation permits should be obtained from State Transport Authorities by any individual or organization involved in commercial trucking services if they transport loads beyond normal legal limits. You can get more details about the legally-permitted sizes of vehicles and types of transportation permits available from your local department of transportation.
Temporary operation permits have been circulated since 1992. If a business only needs a permit to operate over a designated time period, Temporary Testing, Demonstration, and Temporary Operation Permits may be required. You can acquire them from all the outlets of Auto plan and any government inspection stations (weigh scales). You are allowed to perform general transportation ventures for anywhere from 1 day to two weeks with this permit, but there are certain restrictions to use this permit for commercial activities.
