Maine Truck Permit
The heavy-duty vehicles and loads involved in commercial trucking services are generally required to, under the Act 300 of Michigan Vehicle Code (MVC) of Public Acts of 1949, execute their business as per the limits as established by this Act. The vehicles and loads that can not be lowered in their size and can not be transported other than by road are demanded to obtain permits from the reigon’s local Department of Transportation (DOT). All transportation permits ought to be obtained from State Transport Authorities by any individual or organization involved in commercial trucking services if they transport loads beyond normal legal limits. You can get more relevant information about the legally-permitted sizes of vehicles and types of transportation permits obtainable from your local department of transportation.
Temporary operation permits have been released since 1992. If a business only needs a permit to operate over a designated period of time, Temporary Testing, Demonstration, and Temporary Operation Permits may be required. You can secure them from all the outlets of Auto plan and any government inspection stations (weigh scales). You are allowed to perform general transportation activities for anywhere from 1 day to two weeks with this permit, but there are certain stipulations to use this permit for commercial activities.
