All transportation permits will need to be obtained from State Transport Authorities by any individual or organization involved in commercial trucking services if they transport loads beyond normal legal limits. You can get more details about the legally-permitted sizes of vehicles and kinds of transportation permits attainable from your local department of transportation.

Temporary operation permits have been issued since 1992. If a business only needs a permit to operate over a designated time period, Temporary Testing, Demonstration, and Temporary Operation Permits may be required. You can get them from all the outlets of Auto plan and any government inspection stations (weigh scales). You are permitted to perform general transportation activities for anywhere from one day to two weeks through this permit, but there are certain stipulations to use this permit for commercial activities.

Suppose your commercial vehicle transports construction machinery, pre-built homes, construction materials, or containers. It’s weight boundaries are then depended weight limits per-axle to become eligible for this permit.
