Utah Truck Permit
The heavy-duty vehicles and loads involved in commercial trucking services are ultimately required to, under the Act 300 of Michigan Vehicle Code (MVC) of Public Acts of 1949, perform their business as per the limitations as established by this Act. The vehicles and loads that can not be lowered in their size and can not be transported other than by road are required to obtain permits from the reigon’s local Department of Transportation (DOT). All transportation permits should be obtained from State Transport Authorities by any individual or organization involved in commercial trucking services if they transport loads over normal legal limits. You can get more relevant information about the legally-permitted sizes of vehicles and varieties of transportation permits attainable from your local department of transportation.
Temporary operation permits have been provided since 1992. If a business only needs a permit to operate over a designated period of time, Temporary Testing, Demonstration, and Temporary Operation Permits may be required. You can acquire them from all the outlets of Auto plan and any government inspection stations (weigh scales). You are permitted to perform general transportation ventures for anywhere from one day to two weeks with this permit, but there are certain stipulations to use this permit for commercial activities.

Vehicles and trucks that are delivering loads of excessive size or weight above legal limits and are busy in operating transportation activities on public highways are obligated to obtain oversize permits when their loads that can not be reduced in size. These permits may be obtained upon written inquiry from the Commercial Transport section of Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement Branch. Oversize permits are obtainable not only for the vehicles or loads that are 4.4 meters wide, but for wider vehicles also. The information of the commodity being transported along with reasons of non-reducible size need to be provided with the application of the permit.

Oversize permits are also issued on the basis of axle size of the auto, as there are certain limits on the load-per-axle to assess the need of this transportation permit. A load that goes beyond the limit per-axle is considered as over-weighted or oversized, as opposed to considering the overall weight of the load. Suppose your commercial vehicle transports construction machinery, pre-built homes, construction materials, or containers. It’s weight limits are then depended weight limits per-axle to be eligible for this permit.
