Washington Oversize Permits

Picture of On the Go Transportation [Major] [Minor] and TX Oversize Permits
The heavy-duty vehicles and loads connecteded with commercial trucking services are basically required to, under the Act 300 of Michigan Vehicle Code (MVC) of Public Acts of 1949, perform their business as per the limits as established by this Act. The vehicles and loads that can not be decreased in their size and can not be transported other than by road are asked to obtain permits from the reigon’s local Department of Transportation (DOT). All transportation permits will need to be obtained from State Transport Authorities by any individual or organization involved in commercial trucking services if they transport loads more than normal legal limits. You can get more relevant information about the legally-permitted sizes of vehicles and sorts of transportation permits available from your local department of transportation.

Temporary operation permits have been issued since 1992. If a business only needs a permit to operate over a designated period, Temporary Testing, Demonstration, and Temporary Operation Permits may be required. You can obtain them from all the outlets of Auto plan and any government inspection stations (weigh scales). You are permitted to perform general transportation endeavors for anywhere from 1 day to two weeks using this permit, but there are certain restrictions to use this permit for commercial activities.

Vehicles and trucks that are moving loads of excessive size or weight above legal limits and are busy in operating transportation tasks on public highways are needed to obtain oversize permits when their loads that can not be minimized in size. These permits are obtained upon written inquiry from the Commercial Transport section of Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement Branch. Oversize permits are provided not only for the vehicles or loads that are 4.4 meters wide, but for wider vehicles also. Oversize permits are also released on the basis of axle size of the truck, as there are certain limitations on the load-per-axle to assess the need of this transportation permit. A load that exceeds the limit per-axle is considered as over-weighted or oversized, instead of considering the overall weight of the load. Suppose your commercial vehicle transports construction machinery, pre-built homes, construction materials, or containers. It’s weight restricts are then relied on weight limits per-axle to become eligible for this permit.
